All Amazon sellers know that customer satisfaction is one of the crucial sales drivers. And you know the opposite: all those Bad Reviews and comments from the buyers who are upset with the purchase because they’ve bought the wrong product. And this is very often not because the item itself is wrong, but because the customer didn’t have enough information about it. This means that the more information you give about the product, the better are your chances to lower customer dissatisfaction, number of Returns, and Bad Reviews.

What is the Product Documents Program from Amazon?

From now on, brand owners have a new option from Amazon: sellers can upload product documents like installation manuals, compatibility guides, and troubleshooting guides. Customers will be able to review these documents on the product detail pages.

What are the Benefits of the Documents Program?

“Customers will benefit from this content pre-purchase to make shopping decisions and post-purchase to make the most of the products that they buy”, says Amazon on its Seller Forum.

The new option is free for the brand owners

The program is expected to:

  • Reduce customer service calls;
  • Less product returns;
  • Increased customer satisfaction.
